Before buying one of these, there are a few things that you should consider. The first thing that you should think about is whether it’ll be placed under a worktop or something similar where there is only a certain amount of space for it. If it will be going under a worktop, it’s a good idea to measure the area so that you know if a second hand tumble dryer that you’re looking at online will fit or not. If you won’t be putting it in a confined space then you won’t have to worry about this which is a bonus.
If you’ve been looking online for one of these you’ve probably noticed that there are two main types which are vented and condenser tumble dryers. We’re going to go through the differences so that you can decide which one is better for you. Vented machines are generally a bit cheaper and use a lot less energy; however, it’ll need to be installed near a wall or even a winder which isn’t an option for everybody. The damp air from these machines go outside, while with a condenser dryer the moist air goes directly into a container which you’ll have to empty every now and again.
